The Session has called for a Congregational Meeting to follow worship on Sunday, May 4th, to vote upon dissolution of the pastoral relationship between the Rev. Dr. James L. Wallace and Calvin Presbyterian Church (dba Rise Church), effective July 31st, 2025.
Pastor Jim has notified the Session and the Presbytery of his desire to retire this summer. In the Presbyterian Church USA, for a pastoral relationship to be formed it requires the concurrence of the pastor, the congregation, and the Presbytery. In a similar way, all three parties must vote on the dissolution of the pastoral relationship.
